MINUMUM WAGE INCREASE
Effective 1 July 2025, the Fair Work Commission has:
- Increased the National Minimum Wage to $24.10/hour or $915.90/week (based on a 38-hour week)

- Increased all modern award minimum wage rates by 3.5%
Action Steps for Employers:
- Identify which award applies to each employee
- Use the Fair Work Pay Calculator to determine updated hourly and penalty rates

- Apply changes from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025
- Check that all staff on enterprise agreements or annualised salaries are still earning at least the minimum award rate

SINGLE TOUCH PAYROLL
STP Finalisation is mandatory for all employers:

- Must be completed by 14 July 2025 using ATO-compliant payroll software
- Mark each employee’s record as "Final" for the year, confirming no more payments will be made
- Cross-check gross wages, tax withheld, and super totals for accuracy
- Report all allowances under correct STP Phase 2 categories
- Employees will access Income Statements via myGov
